Matters Arising

Congratulations to Tom D and Sian for making it onto the Welsh team.

As far as we know, still only Will has paid for surfboard storage. Payments for next season must be made in advance plus what is owed for this season.

Proposed date for the presentation evening will be 30th November in Cowbridge Rugby Club. Ceri will speak to Ann to book venue. Will to book DJ. The committee will arrange a buffet. Tickets will be £5.00, on sale now.

Still chasing competency fees, the list is in the red file on the beach.

Karen will phone Rhoose to get information about the nipper pool galas, good practice for the still water competitions.

Ceri will look into the organising a child protection course run by Sports Coach UK and offer the course to other clubs to fill the spaces. The club will pay for our coaches to do the course but a minimum of 6 hours coaching must be completed and coaches must buy their own uniform on completion of the course.

Sam Stevens has asked to rejoin the club, no objections from the committee.

We have 5 new nipper parents helping in full uniform & CRB forms have been completed.

New recruitment process ? Secretary to send out an application pack for new starters in advance of them starting with the date & time they can join in with training. This will start with the next intake in December.

Ceri will draw up some league tables to have mini competitions during junior & senior training to encourage more people to compete. Ceri will also organise a club open / competition day next summer.

Ray is waiting for the remaining orders for boards before placing the order with Kracker.

Any Other Business.

Carol.

Requested a list of junior & senior telephone numbers to obtain interested people for the mini leagues. All notifications of competitions will be on the website & leaflets will be given out in training. Younger members need to be encouraged to compete as a team & older members need to compete - encouragement for the younger members.

Bec.

Requested a locker to be kept in the pool for the registers & newsletters.

Bec?s work will hopefully hold a dress down day to raise money from the club.

Phil.

Suggested making an e-mail circulation list to send out newsletters etc. Agreed, the membership form will be amended for next intake to include space for an e-mail address.

Will.

Will price up a tent/ marquee for the beach from the money donated from the channel paddle. We will receive approx £860 + tax back from gift aid = £1170.

IRB Championships. Will the club pay the team entry fee? Committee agreed yes as all team events are paid for by the club.
