Committee Meeting Minutes 14/3/07
Southerndown Surf Life Saving Club
Minutes of the committee meeting Wednesday, 14th March.
Present : Karen, Will, Ann, Jane, Bev, Delyth, James, Richard, Angharad, Ceri, Becky.
Matters Arising.
7 entries for the design a t-shirt competition. Can have 10 t-shirts printed for £30. Wanted made up ready for nipper camp. To pick a winner at junior training this week.
No word from Dave Jennings about waterproof switch and heaters. Perhaps find someone else to sort this out, will need to get permission to go ahead with this.
Nars training has started on Sunday evening.
6 new nipper boards have arrived. To be put on insurance. Also hats have arrived, £7 for silicone, £2 for latex.
Light blue rash vests required for coaches, junior and senior coordinators to be worn on beach. Also t-shirts for coaches for winter sessions.
Last pool session Sunday, 6th May, first beach session Thursday, 10th May.
Karen
Water safety awards on Thursday night have been completed, moving on to lifesavers awards.
Hope to run a club coaches course before Summer. Child protection officer needed to do part of this course.
Will
Requested permission to order new radios. £130 each which includes discount. £152.75 including VAT. So £780 in total, £916.50 including VAT. VAT can be reclaimed. Are waterproof and come with chargers, batteries and 1 year warranty. Will need to go on insurance.
Defibrilator course still to be arranged.
Rotas for the Summer patrols being done, will appear on website.

Showers in the girl?s changing rooms need attention.
Angharad
A team came 4th in the mini leagues, no result for the B team yet.
Welsh stillwaters, matthew England got a gold medal and Steffan Griffin a bronze. Noone entering the GB senior/ masters stillwaters.
Ski for sale £500.
New competition secretary needed.
Next meeting to take place on Wednesday, 11th April at 8pm at the Three Golden Cups.
