Committee Meeting Minutes 11/4/07
Southerndown Surf Life Saving Club
Minutes of the committee meeting Wednesday, 11th April.
Present : Karen, Wil, Richard, James, Ceri, Jane, Paul, Bev, delyth, Becky, Gwyn, Angharad.
Matters Arising.
T shirt competition ongoing, the winner was Helena Snuggs.
The waterproof switch is to be done but the heater will have to wait until work at Penybont is finished.
First Nars exams to take place on Sunday, 22nd April.
T shirts for coaches and coordinaters done, plain blue t shirts for extra helpers, rash vests on order.
Sunday night swimmers would like a pool swimming session through the summer. Look into available times.
Lifesavers awards on Thursday night have been completed, started on RLSS awards. Club coaches course still to be arranged. Defibrilator course on hold at the moment.
Rotas for summer patrols are out on the website, suggestion to keep some patrol t shirts down the beach to sell.
Girl?s showers still needing attention, maybe buy something to try to clear the drain.
Agreed to buy Angharad?s ski for the club, because of Angharad leaving a new competition secretary still needed.

Next meeting to be an extraordinary general meeting in order to change the constitution, this to be advertised on the website.

Need to put in newsletter about locking the first aid romm door behind the shutter. Also to make sure everything is switched off.
With so many people having keys, may be a good idea to have some kind of booking out system for the craft.

Request by Max for a key, agreed by the committee.
Angharad.
Wants a note in the newsletter about senior members not training properly on a Sunday night, and getting out before the session is completed. She welcomes any feedback from the members about the sessions, and is prepared to make adjustments.
